Everton have no plans to sign QPR midfielder Joey Barton.

The agent of Barton has offered the midfielder to Everton boss Roberto Martinez.

But the Liverpool Echo says the Blues won't be rushing to take him up on his offer, and would prefer to sign a younger central midfielder to boost their options in the middle of the park.
