The Toffees produced a magnificent display at Goodison Park nine days ago, lifting spirits after their disappointing FA Cup defeat to Wigan Athletic.
Round revealed to evertontv: “It’s for the leaders of the organisation to lift the players, first and foremost, and that starts with the manager - who was absolutely magnificent during the week leading up to the match against Man City.
“He really showed what a top manager he was that week. He led the players and made sure they were picked up.
“We mourned, of course we did, but he picked them up, rattled the cages and said, ‘come on, we’ve got to prove what we’re about at Everton’.”
