Everton have moved to quash renewed speculation over the future of Andy Johnson by underlining that they have no desire to sell the striker.
Reports in the weekend's newspapers linked the England international with a possible move to West Ham.
"I was very surprised with reports about Andy in the papers," assistant manager Alan Irvine told the club's official website.
"We have no intention of selling Andy Johnson, he is a really important player for us. It is not even something we would consider."
