Everton No2 Erwin Koeman has welcomed new signing Yannick Bolasie.

The former Crystal Palace winger joined Everton this week.

“Yannick is a very good player, a strong player. He's a runner who can make goals. We need that," Koeman told the Liverpool Echo.

“Every year you need fresh people in the squad and it makes other players more sharp.

“From what I have seen, he has enjoyed training and he's enjoying playing football. He has to show [his ability], of course, but I am confident of that.

“He has shown these last few years that he is a good player - he likes to work, he likes to run and has individual qualities."
