Everton No1 Howard: Arsenal success can be headache for keepers

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard believes Arsenal's keepers struggle because of the team's success.

Arsene Wenger has turned to Lukasz Fabianski following Manuel Almunia's failure to secure No.1 spot at the Emirates and the Arsenal boss is still known to be in the market for a new shot-stopper.

But Everton keeper Howard said: "Playing at a club like Arsenal and Manchester United, when your team are in possession the majority of the time, makes difficult for a goalkeeper to stand out and be seen as world class.

"That is always the issue Arsenal have had with keepers over the years and I know from my own experience at United that you need to develop a different mentality.

"I've grown and matured since I left United and come to Everton and enjoyed the best years of my career.

"That's the nature of the beast."
