Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford hailed their passion shown for the 0-0 draw with Chelsea yesterday.
Pickford excelled in front of watching England manager Gareth Southgate as Sam Allardyce's men stretched their unbeaten run to seven games at Goodison Park.
"I thought we grafted like hell and dug in right until the end," said the former Sunderland man after the game.
"We came in with a good game plan from the boss and we stuck to it. We also had a couple of good chances but to keep a clean sheet against the current champions shows good character.
"You see the defence making a lot of blocks, putting their bodies on the line. We didn't look like getting beaten today and didn't concede a goal which is what we want as a team.
"If we can improve going forward as a team and in possession than we are a top team."
Meanwhile, Yannick Bolasie thanked Blues fans for their reception as he made his return to the squad on the day.
Bolasie hasn't played for the Blues for 12 months after suffering a serious knee injury back in December 2016 in a 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
He tweeted: "Great point for us today good to be involved with the boys @Everton and thanks the fans for the incredible reception was strange being out there today can't lie but in God's time looking forward to the challenges in front".
