Everton defender Michael Keane has expressed his delight at scoring his first ever goal for the Toffees.
Everton claimed a 2-0 victory over Hajduk Split in their Europa League qualifiers on Thursday night, with new signing Michael Keane among the goals for the Toffees and following the game, the England international expressed his happiness at grabbing his first strike for the club.
Keane said: "I'm also delighted to get on the scoresheet. It's something I've been working on in the last few weeks and hopefully there's more to come.
"I knew when Leighton got to the byline he'd be probably be looking to stand it up at the back post, so I shifted myself there and it was a great ball, nothing less than you'd expect from him. Once I was up there, I wasn't going to miss.
"It was a massive moment. It's always nice scoring a goal but to do it in a night game in front of our home fans is extra special."
