Everton are lining up a move for off contract Olympiakos defender Olof Mellberg.

The Daily Mirror says the 34-year-old defender, who left Aston Villa last season after seven years at the club, reminded everyone of his talent by scoring twice against England during Sweden's 3-2 Euro 2012 defeat last week.

And the Toffees hope to pounce now that contract talks between Mellberg and his club, Olympiakos, have broken down.
