Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar is looking forward to their preseason tour of Singapore.

Everton will be back in the Far East during July to participate in the Barclays Asia Trophy in Singapore, following on from the short visit to Thailand last pre-season.

“It's good because the rest of the world can see Premier League teams live," explained Pienaar to evertonfc.com.

“It's good for the supporters as well because they get opportunities to see players they support. For some people, they might never have the opportunity to see a live Premier League game.

“My memories of going to Asia are that the people are very warm and open-hearted. When we got off [the plane last year] the reception we received from the people was great.

“At the game, the supporters were all buzzing and excited for us to be there. For me, I'm looking forward to going to Asia again."
