Everton midfielder Leon Osman says Sylvain Distin can be proud of his performance in their draw with Liverpool.

Distin had a goal disallowed in the 0-0 result.

"He was terrific," Osman told evertonfc.com. "He made some fantastic blocks, especially in the first half.

"He defended really well and we defended really well as a team."
