Everton midfielder McCarthy backing Man Utd legend Keane for Ireland job

Everton midfielder James McCarthy wants Manchester United legend Roy Keane to be handed the Republic of Ireland job.

Keane has been out of management since January 2011 when he was dismissed by Ipswich.

"A few names have been thrown around - Martin O'Neill and Mick McCarthy maybe," said McCarthy. "But it would be great to work under Roy Keane."
