Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye has suffered an injury setback.
Senegal national team doctors have ruled the 28-year-old out until mid-April after he turned up injured at their training camp in Morocco.
Gueye is now set to miss the Toffees' home clashes with champions-elect City on March 31, and Jurgen Klopp's Reds a week later.
Senegal coach Aliou Cisse said: "My squad is almost complete, but 'Gana' had a muscle tear when he came over.
"I had wanted him to be in my team, but I think he will be out for three weeks.
"I wanted him to come over with the rest of his national teammates, so we could assess his injury. He was able to do so."
