Everton midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye is grateful to manager Ronald Koeman for keeping him in the Premier League.
Gueye suffered relegation with Aston Villa in May last year, only for Koeman to swoop for his services later in the summer.
Asked how he has found working under Koeman, Gana told evertonfc.com: “I am enjoying it very much because he helped me to stay in the Premier League and it's important for a player to give back.
“That's why I try to do my best on the pitch and help the team and give all I have for Everton.
“The most important thing is the team and if everybody tries to give the best they have then we will become even better."
