Everton midfielder Darron Gibson has suffered a fresh injury setback with the Republic of Ireland.
Gibson suffered suspected knee ligament damage during the first half of the Republic of Ireland's World Cup qualifier against Kazakhstan on Tuesday night.
He was treated on the pitch for several minutes with club manager Roberto Martinez watching from the stands, and was eventually carried off on a stretcher.
An FAI statement issued via its Twitter account said: "Darron Gibson has been assessed by our team doc and will return to his club tomorrow for a scan with suspected knee ligament damage."
