Everton midfielder Bernard is happy to act as a mentor for young teammate Richarlison.

Bernard could be a major influence on 21-year-old team-mate Richarlison, the great new hope of Brazil, who has scored four times already for Everton this season.

"Playing with Ronaldinho was important for me. I'm thankful to God for being given the opportunity," Bernard told the Daily Mail.

"Richarlison is very young but he has a lot to offer and is going through a really good phase at the moment. What's significant is he has the character for football. He has no fear of playing. He has played for the Brazilian national team this season and performed very well in every game."
