Everton midfielder Barry loves beating Man Utd

Everton midfielder Gareth Barry admits he loves beating Manchester United.

Barry was part of the Manchester City side that famously beat the Red Devils 6-1 two seasons ago. Now he can boast another fabulous success at the Theatre of Dreams.

He told evertontv: "We spoke before about how long it had been since Everton had won here and how we have a great team, are playing well and that we should go out there with confidence. That's what we did.

"We had some great chances throughout the game and we thoroughly deserved the three points.

"They [Manchester United] are obviously going to have a good spell in the game - they had one in the second half with a few waves of attacks.

"But Tim made a couple of great saves and the manager made a bold substitution and left players up front. We didn't sit back and play for a draw. We waited for the counter-attack and caused them problems. It was a great result."
