Everton midfielder Gareth Barry is full of praise for Nikica Jelavic after his two-goal blast in their FA Cup win over QPR.
Jelavic has become unsettled at Everton this season.
Barry said: "Niki has been unfortunate this season, the way Romelu Lukaku has come in and played and the way the team has been getting results.
"It's hard sometimes, but the manager has kept Niki smiling. That showed because he still wanted to come in and do a job for Everton.
"I think the manager deserves a lot of credit. With a squad, it's important you keep the players hungry who haven't been playing and Niki is a great example of that.
"He's had to be really patient and wait for his chance and today he got it."
