Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta was delighted with the manner of victory over Chelsea.
Arteta was particularly pleased to round the campaign off with a win over Chelsea - and also happy for Jermaine Beckford to grab his 10th goal of the season.
"We showed the group of lads we have and the mentality we have in the dressing room because it is not easy to beat Chelsea with 10 men, but we managed it," he told evertontv.
"It was a terrific goal from Becks. He took a chance and went on a great run and then there was the finish at the end of it.
"Becks hasn't played every game but he has done well and you can see he is adapting.
"He has pace which is something we have missed at times. He is the only striker we have who has that out and out pace and we need someone like that in the team.
"We wanted to finish on a high and go away with a positive feeling and come back after the summer in good spirits and knowing that next season is going to be a big one for us."
