Everton, Middlesbrough move for Nurnberg striker Misimovic

Nurnberg's Bosnian striker Zvejdan Misimovic is wanted by Everton and Middlesbrough.

The Mirror says the 25-year-old, who will quit the Bundesliga in the summer for around £1million, has managed to score goals in a struggling team that is set to be relegated.

Everton - working within a sensible budget but keen to recruit - are set to move in. Misimovic could be an ideal replacement for the injured Tim Cahill and could fill other roles in the squad.

His price tag and wages will not scare Everton - though Boro may yet beat them to the signature. Southgate is also watching Misimovic and could swoop as he fits the bill for his club and system, too.
