Finding a player to step into the exact void left by Fellaini would be extremely difficult, even by Moyes' transfer market record, and you would lose his goal threat, versatility and ability to dominate games.

But by selling Fellaini, there is a case that Everton would feel less inclined to accept a sizeable offer for Leighton Baines, should Manchester United's interest become more than just that.
