Everton management have growing concerns over Jack Rodwell's hamstring problems.

Rodwell has managed just one full game since his England double-header in November, and the injury resurfaced ahead of Saturday's FA Cup draw with Sunderland.

It was the fourth time he has suffered similar problems this term.

And Blues assistant Steve Round admitted it is becoming a worry: "We think it is something to do with the nervous system.

"Maybe rest or an injection into a nerve to get the inflammation down will help."
