Premiership clubs face competition for Newcastle United fullback Habib Beye.
The Evening Chronicle says Beye's close pal and former Sunderland striker Djibril Cisse has recommended the Senegal international to ex-Chelsea coach Henk ten Cate, who is now in charge at Panathinaikos.
United signed Beye for £2m during the Sam Allardyce era and he has recently courted attention from a number of clubs including Everton and Manchester City.
United's bitter rivals Sunderland are also interested - and a move to the Stadium of Light would be yet another slap in the face for the Toon Army if it happened.
