Everton to make offer for Standard Liege striker Christian Benteke

Everton are weighing up a bid for Standard Liege striker Christian Benteke.

The Daily Mail says Everton are considering a cut-price move for Benteke after the 20-year old striker admitted he wants to quit Standard Liege.

Everton were one of several Barclays Premier League clubs to have scouts watching on Thursday night, as Benteke led Standard's attack in their 1-0 Europa League qualifying round win over Helsingborg.

Manager David Moyes would like Tottenham's Peter Crouch but can't afford him.
