Everton have launched a bid for Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
The Mirror says Everton have made the first move in their pursuit of Pickford by lodging a £10million offer.
The Toffees have acted quickly and tested the water on Wearside with an opening bid.
That was rejected out-of-hand by the decision-makers at the Stadium of Light, who want more than double that figure for the England Under-21 international.
Pickford has enjoyed an impressive campaign, despite the Black Cats' relegation woes.
