Everton have launched an £8million bid for Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann.
Toffees boss Roberto Martinez has earmarked Dann as his number one defensive target this summer and is hoping that the Liverpudlian will replace Bournemouth signing Sylvain Distain in the Everton side.
Dann has fuelled rumours of a possible transfer after revealing that, despite starring for the Eagles last season, is keen for a move back up north so he can be closer to his family home.
The 28-year old joined Palace from Blackburn Rovers in January 2014 and was the south London club's most consistent performer last term, winning the Eagles' Player of the Year award.
