Everton are maintaining contact with USA captain Landon Donovan.
The Daily Mail says Everton remain keen on a permanent deal for LA Galaxy midfielder Donovan.
Donovan is back in action for Galaxy after his heroics at the World Cup and has been playing for over 12 months straight.
