Everton are in talks with Sporting Lisbon over a loan deal for Joao Moutinho.

Sporting's £18million valuation of the 22-year-old playmaker proved too high for the Merseyside club in the summer.

But Moutinho, who has won 19 caps for Portugal, believes he could move in the transfer window on loan.
