Everton are being linked with Werder Bremen striker Hugo Almeida.

Werder are ready to sell Almeida next month and have already lined up Manchester City striker Felipe Caicedo, currently on-loan at Levante, as his replacement.

AS says Real Madrid are interested, but will face competition from Hercules, Valencia and David Moyes' Everton.
