Everton are being linked with Manchester United reject Adem Ljajic.
The Serbian youngster has rebuilt his career at Fiorentina after seeing United pull out of a pre-contract deal last season.
Now 19, Ljajic is drawing comparisons with Kaka and has established himself as a first choice in coach Sinisa Mihajlovic's Fiorentina plans.
Everton boss David Moyes is keeping tabs on Ljajic's progress and sees the youngster as a direct replacement for contract rebel Steven Pienaar.
A January bid of £8 million has been mooted.
