Everton legend Neville Southall is backing their deal for Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.
Everton have spent a record £30 million for Pickford this week.
“I think if we sign Pickford we have a bargain," tweeted Southall. “What price saving 12 points a season? Potential to go all the way to world level."
England great Peter Shilton was just as enthusiastic about the deal.
“This sort of money should be spent on goalkeepers.
“For someone like Jordan, who is young and has great potential, it does not seem a great fee."
