Everton legend Graeme Sharp says Nikica Jelavic has helped Tim Cahill recapture his best form.

The duo has emerged as David Moyes' first-choice strike pairing in recent weeks with both players integral to the Blues' impressive form.

Sharp told evertonfc.com: "Tim has been excellent in the last few games and that is down to his own hard work and endeavour but also because he is playing with a striker in Jelavic who he knows what he is going to do. It has all the makings of a good partnership.

"Tim was fantastic in both games against Sunderland and also particularly in the win over Spurs, I thought.

"There are no doubts with Tim Cahill but - no disrespect to anyone else he has played with up top - he is now paired with someone who can get hold of it, who can link with him, can read where he is going, get beyond him and also feed off him."
