Everton legend Graeme Sharp was impressed by the youngsters on tour of the US.
Sharp, who made his Toffees debut aged 20 back in 1980 and was acting as summariser for evertontv in the US, was particularly impressed with 17-year-old Ross Barkley who laid on the second goal for Diniyar Bilyaletdinov in their 3-1 win over DC United on Saturday.
"I thought young Ross Barkley did ever so well in the first half against DC United," Sharp told evertontv.
"It's the first time I've really seen Ross up close and I thought he looked very very good.
"He looked comfortable coming in off the right hand side, he made one of the goals and was involved heavily and he can be very pleased."
