Everton legend Reid unhappy Hodgson didn't "change it"

Everton legend Peter Reid admits he was screaming at his tele urging Roy Hodgson to "change it" as England surrendered their lead in Montenegro.

Reid was baffled by the substitutions made by Roy Hodgson.

The ex-England midfielder said: "We couldn't get the ball in the second half.

"Can Gary Neville and Ray Lewington get together with Roy and say 'How can we change it?'.

"You have to make those decisions. He made one when he brought on Ashley Young but was it enough?

"I was sat watching it on my couch and saying to myself 'Change it'.

"They decided not to and we nearly paid a big price by getting beat.

"Possession is king and, invariably, if you have more of the ball you will cause more problems - but we couldn't get it in the second half."
