Everton legend Peter Reid is confident Nikica Jelavic will rediscover his scoring touch.
Reid wrote in his column for evertonfc.com: "He scored for Croatia recently, so he just needs to get a goal for us. And, like most players, and strikers in particular, confidence is a massive thing.
"Once he gets that back, it would be no surprise to see him go on a run and add a few more to his tally.
"When Gary Lineker first joined Everton, he had a spell at the start where he couldn't buy a goal - and he ended up with 40 that season!
"The fact he wasn't scoring didn't worry him. I can remember we had a pre-season game at Wigan where he missed a couple of chances and I said to him, 'listen, don't worry, the goals will come,' and he replied, 'I know!'.
"It's just about having that belief in yourself. And top strikers normally do."
