Everton lead race for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida

Everton are chasing Croatia's World Cup hero Domagoj Vida.

Sabah says Everton boss Marco Silva is keen on working with the player at Goodison Park next season and hopes Besiktas defender Vida is the man to replace Ashley Williams long term at the club.

Besiktas president Fikret Orman is looking to get at least €15m for the player and he's happy to wait until after the end of the World Cup as he's hoping Vida's impressive form could increase his value.

And Everton are currently leading the race to sign the Croatian.
