Everton are preparing a major offer for Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann.

The Daily Star Sunday says the Goodison Park club failed to land Dann when he was at Birmingham and Blackburn.

Now, boss Roberto Martinez is hoping it will be a case of third time lucky with an offer of £8million.

But Palace manager Alan Pardew does not want to lose Liverpool-born Dann, 28, who is under contract for another two years.
