Everton are keeping tabs on Las Palmas centre back Mauricio Lemos.

The Daily Mail says Everton are watching Lemos, 21, who was courted by Barcelona last summer.

Lemos joined the Canary Islands side last summer from Russian club Rubin Kazan and has made an instant impression in La Liga.

His assured performances have helped Las Palmas to mid-table safety in the Spanish top tier, with the club 12th after 29 matches.

They are on 35 points, 13 above the relegation places.
