Everton keeper Howard wary of Tottenham's Giovani and Arsenal's Vela

Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard is being cautious of two very important players ahead of the US international team's World Cup qualifier against Mexico on Wednesday.

Howard pointed towards Tottenham Giovani dos Santos (who is currently on loan with Ipswich Town) and Arsenal young gun Carlos Vela as being two players the US team will need to shut out, especially after their brilliant performances in last month's CONCACAF Gold Cup final (in which Mexico defeated the US 5-0).

"I think they're both very talented players," Howard said.

"Obviously Vela is starting to get his opportunities on a very good Arsenal team, and showing that he can play there at that level.

"I think Giovani has shown that he has the ability and the talent to do some really good things, and I think he's starting to come into his own as well. So, two very talented guys."

The US team will arrive in Mexico on Tuesday and face El Tri at 3pm in Azteca Stadium.
