Everton keeper Howard praises USA for 'resilient' effort

USA goalkeeper Tim Howard felt the side were resilient in their 1-0 loss to Belgium in Brussels on Tuesday night.

The US were edged narrowly by the Belgians at King Baudouin Stadium but Everton number one Howard believes it was a good performance even though the defense was continually under the pump.

"It was OK, in spots," said Howard.

"In a big game in Europe, you're going to have your back against the wall. For the most part, I thought we were somewhat resilient."
