Tim Howard has been handed the USA captaincy for Wednesday's international friendly with Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Everton goalkeeper will take the armband in the absence of Seattle Sounders star Clint Dempsey when Juergen Klinsmann's side steps out at the Asim Ferhatovic Hase Stadium.
US Soccer posted on Twitter that Klinsmann had revealed to reporters that Howard, who has played 90 times for his country, would be skipper.
