Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard has confirmed that he will one day return to play in his home domestic league. The 32-year old made a name for himself with the MetroStars (now New York Red Bulls) in MLS back in the late 1990s before getting a dream to Manchester United and then onto Everton permanently in 2007 following a loan at Goodison Park prior.
When asked by fans on a Q&A on Twitter, Howard made it clear that he was certainly interested in coming back to Major League Soccer when his time in Europe is up.
"Oh, one hundred percent," he replied to the question.
"If all things were to work themselves out I would really, really like to come back and play a few years in MLS.
"A lot of things have to come together, and I want to be playing at a very high level when I come back. I don't want to be dragging through seasons. I want to feel fit and ready.
"I want to have that desire, intensity and passion that you see with Everton and the U.S. National Team when I come play in MLS. Those things are important."
