Everton boss Roberto Martinez hopes to bring Joe Royle back to the club.
The Daily Mail says Everton want Royle to return to Goodison Park as the club's new Development Director.
Royle, the last Everton manager to win a trophy in 1995, remains a hugely popular figure with Evertonians and current boss Roberto Martinez is hoping to bring him on board.
They are hoping to make an appointment before the end of the season to a role that would focus specifically on the development and welfare of young players out on loan.
