Everton join transfer scramble for Cardiff defender Caulker

Everton have joined the scramble for Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker.

The Daily Mail says Everton have joined the queue of clubs who are keen on signing Caulker.

Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Swansea and Southampton are among those to have expressed an interest in the 22-year-old and now Roberto Martinez is looking at a deal.

The Everton boss needs cover for the ageing Sylvain Distin and has also looked at Bruno Martins Indi and Stefan de Vrij at Feyenoord.
