Everton join Chelsea interest for PSG striker Edinson Cavani

Everton are eyeing off PSG striker Edinson Cavani for the January market.

The Daily Mail says Napoli, Everton and Chelsea are among those taking an interest in developments after the Uruguay international clashed with new teammate Neymar in Sunday's 2-0 win over Lyon.

PSG are keen to cool any talk of a rift between their stars so early in the season but Cavani has grown frustrated previously when Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the star man at the club.

A move for Cavani is not straightforward as his age and wages will limit his options. He is 30 and on around £120,000 a week after tax. He would also expect to be first choice, something the likes of Chelsea would not guarantee, and would want Champions League football, which remains a pipe dream for Everton.
