Everton are chasing Fulham attacker Clint Dempsey.

The Daily Star Sunday says the Goodison club already have two goalkeepers from the USA in Tim Howard - first choice for club and country - and Marcus Hahnemann.

And until the end of January they had LA Galaxy's Landon Donovan on loan for the second time.

Now, Everton boss David Moyes wants Dempsey, 29 who has only a year remaining on his contract. They believe they can clinch a deal at around £4million.
