Everton are eyeing Burnley defender Michael Keane.

Everton boss Ronald Koeman has joined the race for in-demand Burnley star Michael Keane as he looks to strengthen his defence, says the Sunday Mirror.

The 23-year-old was a £15million summer target for champions Leicester, who retain an interest, and Chelsea are also hot on his trail.

But Koeman hopes to steal a march on his rival bosses and the chance to work with the former Barcelona and Holland centre-half will be a good selling point for Everton.

Burnley do not want to lose Keane and certainly not in January.
