Everton boss Roberto Martinez is joining the battle for Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama.

The People says Martinez is keen on the powerful Kenyan, and the 22-year-old is interested in the Toffees. Wanyama has been at the centre of a transfer wrangle with Southampton for the past month, with a price agreed but a dispute about an agent's cut stopping the deal.

Now Wanyama is hoping Martinez backs up his interest with a firm bid, although the new Toffees chief may have to sell players first.
