Seattle Sounders forward Steve Zakuani is set to train with Everton for a few days. The MLS season has just finished, giving its players the chance to play or train in Europe over the winter.

The 22-year-old began his career with Arsenal before being released and then opted to move to America - where he has become one of the brightest prospects in MLS.

He has recently turned down the chance to represent USA, instead opting for the country of his birth DR Congo, who his brother Gabriel, who plays for Peterborough, also plays for.

"As for my off season plans, I plan to spend a few days in London visiting old friends and family before going up to Liverpool to train with Everton for a few days," he revealed to the Sounders' official website.
