Time Cahill could be on his way back to his native Australia to play in the A-League.
Reports suggest that the former Everton star is set to join Melbourne City and could land $6million per year.
The 36-year-old is currently with Chinese Super League club Huangzhou Greentown and News Corp Australia suggests talks about a transfer to City are well underway.
Celebrity agent Max Markson believes Socceroos hero Cahill could become one of the A-League's highest paid players history.
"I think Cahill will land a deal with the Melbourne City and the FFA will make him the face of football in Australia and also part of his deal will involve Foxtel," Markson told Daily Mail Australia.
"The deal would be around six million dollars, I think he will be the six million dollar man."
