Everton hit by sell-on fee owed for Arteta Arsenal move

Everton have been hit by the sell-on fee due from Mikel Arteta's move to Arsenal.

Arteta joined Everton for £2m back in 2005 and had a clause in his contract that entitled the Spanish club to receive ten per cent fee of any future transfer, says talkSPORT.

Everton will now pay Real Sociedad £1m but will not owe any money to Barcelona where he started his career.
